Please Support Me and the 50th Annual Walk with Israel
As you likely know, I've been working with UJA for the past year and a half or so, and I have been involved with the 50th annual Walk with Israel for the past few months. I'm writing to ask you to make a donation to my personal fundraising page - all funds raised go directly to our three partner communities in Israel: Bat Yam, Eilat and Sderot. These are communities that - for a variety of reasons, exist on the social and economic margins of Israeli society and UJA invests heavily in educational programs and STEM initiatives for children and young adults in these cities.
The Walk is this Monday, May 20 at Earl Bales Park - you can learn more here: www.walkwithisrael.com. The Walk will be followed by the first ever Bathurst Street Fest - a huge celebration of Jewish life, culture, food, the arts, etc. It runs from 11 am - 8 pm on Bathurst between Wilson and York Downs - www.bathurststreetfest.ca. I hope you'll consider supporting me and the Walk, and joining us on Monday if you're in town. Michael and I will likely be there most or all of the day, so if you can make it give me a shout on my cell so we can say hi.
Hope to see you there!
