Why Support Links Fore Learning?
Jewish Day Schools are committed to providing quality educational opportunities and outcomes for all of their students in learning environments so as to enable them to reach their goals and achieve success.
The Links Fore Learning Golf Classic, now in its 20th year, brings together supporters of the United Jewish Appeal in raising critical funds for special education in our Jewish day school system. Approximately one-quarter of students (1,700) enrolled in Jewish day schools have special needs and receive specialized programs and services. These percentages have increased steadily over the last two decades.
Special education is complex and spans a wide spectrum of needs such as classroom assistants, support staff such as social workers and consulting psychologists, and specialty programs created for these students. By supporting the Jewish day school system through the Links Fore Learning Golf Classic, you are affording these students an opportunity to learn and grow with the supports they need to succeed.
‘The funds donated to Tiferes Bais Yaakov have positively impacted our Student Success Centre. This year, we were able to open up two classes that provide individualized support in a small classroom environment. The class has a qualified student success teacher in place to help the girls who have an IEP in place to get additional academic support without incurring the families the cost of additional tutors. This class is offered to all students who have an IEP and to all grades. On behalf of our students we truly appreciate your generosity!’

“This year, our Support Department was privileged to add a full time additional Resource Teacher and an additional part time Resource Teacher. We have been able to reach more students on a daily basis and give one on one support to the students so that they can be successful in our school. Thank you for all the time and effort you have put into this Fundraising effort.”
